My thoughts
Detroit detective Micayla Lange is housesitting for her “uncle” Nicco when she hears a sound in his office. Glock in hand she goes to investigate when she stumbles upon two burglars breaking into his safe. She also sees graphic photographs that implicate her uncle in the murder of a city councilman. Wanting to do the right thing and arrest the thieves, but she and Jason (one of the thieves) are forced to run from Nicco’s henchmen who want them dead.

This becomes a fast-paced run for their lives, while; guess what; the two become romantically involved. Robards builds up the not only the suspense, but also the sexual tension. In a time space of a few days, she drags out the story to fill a novel which somewhat ruined it for me.
