Harry Potter The Exhibition - Discovery Times Square NYC

The Harry Potter exhibition at the Discovery building in NYC has hundreds of props and costumes from the various films.  Recently, we took a tour of the exhibit.  Although, I am not a big fan of the movies, my wife is and she just loved strolling through the various rooms that take you back to Hogwarts.

Everything was divided into various rooms such as the Great Hall, the common rum and Hagrid’s hut.  I would have to say that the costumes and props were quite detailed and the frozen boy (don’t recall his name) was almost life-like!

We weren’t allowed to take photos but they had wands, creatures, uniforms, books, furniture.  You can see more at their site:  http://www.discoverytsx.com/exhibitions/harry-potter

Fanatics will love the exhibit and you can find discount tickets to help ease the cost of a ticket. We didn’t do the audio tour and I don’t think it took even an hour to saunter through it all.

I actually thought the gift shop was a part of the exhibit.  And then they had Carlo’s Bakery (The Cake Boss) selling refreshments.
