Getting together after 18 years

About eighteen years I produced, directed and co-wrote a short film that made it into a few festivals but it didn’t pave the way to Hollywood and I went on to other things. Thanks to Facebook, though, I was able to connect with a few of the crew members from that film. The film shoot took only five days and I had not seen many of these people since that time. Somebody suggested a reunion and a few weeks ago I drove into Brooklyn to have dinner and to catch up with the lives of everyone.

Although, the drive took longer than expected and I had never driven in Brooklyn, I was able to find parking on the street and was only 45 minutes late. It was great to see everyone, talk and catch up and hopefully do it again soon (dinner and drinks, not make another movie, ha! ha!).

These unexpected surprises in life are nice and refreshing. So I ask you, has anyone else ever connected with someone from their distant past and got together (not including school reunions) and how was it for you?
